Lucy Liu was born in the US. Liu is an American actress, a singer and voice actor. An attractive, clever and gifted actor, she's an model for Asian actors who want to make it big in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, her fame was boosted when she joined the crew of the cult comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was translated into roles that were filmed on the large screen with Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies.
