Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and first made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best support Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 on the 24th of July in 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for Best Supporting Actress for portraying the inquisitive and talkative daughter of Holly Hunter's main part on the film The Piano. They moved with their family from Canada to New Zealand when she was just a baby and spent her childhood there. Following a formal audition at the age of nine, she became Flora McGrath - the daughter of an Scottish piano player who was muted in the 19th century. Her family relocated in New Zealand to marry an unplanned husband. She emigrated from New Zealand to United States as a teen. Paquin played a minor role in the movie's title character, when she was just a young girl with Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) and a lead part in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin was a part-time actress in the TV film of 1997 version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad her character was the Spanish queen with a small part. The actress played teens in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
